About My Name / Mon Nom

There has been alot of speculation about my name.  Although the name Cameron is pretty easy to handle in English, a lot of my French relatives don't get it. Some have inquired if my mother gave me a girl's name, others have noted that Camerone is the name of an epic battle in which the French Foreign legion got slaughtered in Mexico... (My French Grandpa noted that my name represents "le courage, l'abnégation, l' héroïsme et le sens des valeurs" in France). Let's put the record straight. There are some famous people (including women) who have been called Cameron, but none are as great as the great Cameron " Cam " Neely of the Boston Bruins. In his 13 years of professional Hockey, Cam Neely was known as a great power forward and was given the nickname "Bam Bam Cam" for his aggressive style.
